During summer of 1952 at the age of 51 an intense hay fever got its start and it brought my initiation through the world of respiratory illness. The allergy symptom triggered a lot challenges throughout my existence that actually left me almost weak. The sneezing, itching, drippy and stuffed nose part are extremely terrible. In addition, I felt so drained and worst; my eyes can’t even stand sunlight. I was recommended with antihistamine by my medical doctor father to get cured yet it struggle me a lot to have my eyes open attributed to sedation. Since this was the only accessible choice in 1950’s I had no option but to take it until the introduction of much less sedating antihistamines or steroid nasal sprays in 1980 has developed. I have noticed that the recurrence of allergy symptoms develop sometime in August just up until September.
Mastering specific seasons of the year might be very helpful for all hay fever afflicted individuals to protect yourself through the inflammatory effects of the pollen. For your information, March/April- early spring, the air fills with pollen. May/June on the other hand, may be the grass pollen season. You’re probably one of the 30 million Americans who suffer with seasonal hay fever when your hypersensitive reactions seem to be seasonal as well. Medically speaking this is termed as seasonal allergic rhinitis. The following are wonderful items that could be useful to shield yourself from the inflammatory effects of pollen.
· a high quality air cleaner - a negative-ion generator (Sinus Survival Air Vitalizer®) or a HEPA air cleaner
· an effective nasal irrigator (SinuPulse Elite® -- a pulsatile irrigation device)
· an air conditioner
· non-sedating “natural antihistamines” (grape seed extract, stinging nettles, quercetin, or the specially formulated product by Sinus Survival Allercide or homeopathic allergy remedies)
Allergies beside or perhaps in addition to pollen, is triggered by dust mites, food, cats, dogs, and molds. Some individuals may also encounter such a year-round allergy symptom recognized as perennial allergic rhinitis.
Dust mites thrive wherever dust collects in a house. They leave droppings about the size of a pollen grain and are just as easy to inhale. The mites favor the warm, humid climates of coastal cities-New Orleans are high on the list of offenders in the United States-but they are rare in cities above 6,000 feet, where the air is dry. If you suspect dust mites then I suggest:
= Try to clean your carpets regularly. You may use vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter and with 1-micron or even smaller pores.
= In cleaning your carpets, use an environmentally-sensitive cleaning agents with no steaming procedure.
= Dry your pillows perfectly. Put them in the drier for 3-5minutes at least once a week.
Most people are uninformed that molds can basically destroy our health. There are many people diagnosed with hypersensitivity to molds, most of them don't even understand that while they are sneezing and sniffling what caused it can be molds. Molds are found wherever there may be dampness, air, warmth and something to feed on such as on food, leather, and furniture. They are also found in dark and damp areas just like basements, fridges, and bathrooms. You will need to get in touch with professionals concerning molds prevention. Have your home checked out by a mold remediation specialist. You will find one by referring to the Indoor Air Quality Association website (www.iaqa.org).
About 25 percent of allergy sufferers are allergic to cats. The offending substance is the cat’s saliva, which is left on their fur during preening. Homes with cats can be so full of cat hair and dander that it can take up to six months after the cat is removed before it can be considered safe for someone who is allergic to cats. If you’d rather not part with your cat, it can be quite helpful to bathe the cat monthly. Within three to eight months the cat will minimize making the offending allergen in its saliva, and you will have created a non-allergenic cat.
Food allergic reaction is among the most under-diagnosed conditions in this country regardless of the fact that 70% of most Americans are hypersensitive to a particular food. It is because technological testing has become incorrect, expensive, plus it requires carefully informed patients and technicians. Once you tend to have food allergy, you may check out the following things to do:
1. Think about a Food Sensitivities Test from Village Green
2. Get a food-elimination diet - eliminate the foods that you think produce nasal allergy symptoms.
3. Keep track of pulse rate after consuming foods - anything that varies your pulse rate, most likely you are sensitive to the food you ate.
Allergic reactions are hyperactive response of the body's immune system to certain elements which are "foreign" to our bodies and these compounds are called "allergens". They can vary from food and pollen to dust and drugs. Allergies can also be something that we acquire throughout life, and some people are weaker as opposed to others.
The strategy was able to change my well being. Since I applied this alternative approach for the past 20 years, I am satisfied to say that I was able to get out from this terrible respiratory disease. I am now hypersensitivity free and totally cured from chronic sinus problems. Looking forward to the late summer season with excitement!
