Sinusitis Maryland | Sources of Allergic Reactions

During summer of 1952 at the age of 51 a severe hay fever got its start and it headed my initiation to the world of respiratory problems. The hypersensitivity created a lot challenges throughout my everyday life that even left me pretty much hopeless. The sneezing, itching, drippy and stuffed nose part are extremely awful. In addition, I felt so drained and worst; my eyes can't even bear sunlight. I was recommended with antihistamine by my medical doctor father to get alleviated yet it struggle me a lot to stay my eyes open due to sedation. Simply because this was the only accessible option in 1950’s I had no choice but to take it until the arrival of less sedating antihistamines or steroid nasal sprays in 1980 has developed. I have observed that the recurrence of allergic reactions arise sometime in August just up until September.

Realizing specific seasons of the year could be beneficial for all hay fever victims to keep yourself from the inflammatory effects of the pollen. For your information, March/April- early spring, the air fills with pollen. May/June on the other hand, would be the grass pollen season. You're probably one of the 30 million Americans who suffer with seasonal hay fever as soon as your hypersensitive reactions seem to be seasonal too. Clinically speaking this is referred to as seasonal allergic rhinitis. Listed below are amazing items that could be helpful to protect yourself from the inflammatory effects of pollen.

·        a strong air cleaner - a negative-ion generator (Sinus Survival Air Vitalizer®) or a HEPA air cleaner
·
·        an effective nasal irrigator (SinuPulse Elite® -- a pulsatile irrigation device)
·
·        an air conditioner
·
·        non-sedating “natural antihistamines” (grape seed extract, stinging nettles, quercetin, or the uniquely formulated product by Sinus Survival Allercide or homeopathic allergy remedies)
·
Allergic attack besides or perhaps in addition to pollen, is triggered by dust mites, food, cats, dogs, and molds. Some people may also experience this sort of a year-round allergy indication referred to as perennial allergic rhinitis.

Dust Mites - they can be found in most residences. They are actually microscopic creatures and are just as easy to breathe in. They will also love warm, humid areas loaded with dirt. The only stress about dust mites is that most people are allergic to them. Consequently, to stay away from such hypersensitivity, it is recommended that you perform the following:

 a. put your pillows and blankets in the drier for 3 to 5 minutes once every week or so.
 b. make use of vacuums with high-efficiency filters pick up more dust mites
 c. cleaning your carpets properly using environmentally-sensitive cleaning agents, along with a method that would not utilize steam.
 d. clean your bed sheets and blankets with hot water regularly.

Mold spores can be found on food, leather, furniture, and especially in dark, damp areas such as bathrooms, basements, refrigerators, and air conditioners. Outdoors, they can grow on crops, grass, and dead leaves. There can be hundreds of thousands of mold spores per cubic meter of air, and we inhale about 10 to 12 cubic meters of air each day. Unfortunately these spores cause significant allergic reactions in millions of susceptible people. If you suspect a problem with mold I suggest you have your home checked by a mold remediation expert (you can find one by making reference to the Indoor Air Quality Association website (www.iaqa.org).
Theoretically, almost 25% of allergy sufferers are hypersensitive to cats. The cause of cat allergies in individuals is in cat’s saliva which can be left on their fur during preening. If you are very sensitive to cat dander, cat hair shedding can also be a big problem. But if your passion is in cats there are ways to still enjoy the pet. To produce a non-allergenic cat, you may bathe the cat monthly. The offending allergens in its saliva will stop with the period of three to eight months.

There are a multitude of foods that can cause allergy symptoms. Surveys have shown that as many as 70 percent of Americans believe they are allergic to at least one particular food. Yet, a food allergy may be one of the most under-diagnosed conditions in this country because scientific testing has been inaccurate, expensive, and it requires carefully informed patients and technicians. If you suspect a food allergy, then there are two things that you can do: 1). Order a Food Sensitivities Test from Village Green or 2). I would suggest a food-elimination diet to verify the diagnosis. Eliminate from your diet not less than 3 weeks the foods that are probably to produce nasal allergic attacks: wheat and other gluten grains (e.g. rye and oats), cow’s milk and all dairy products, chocolate, corn, oranges, eggs, and artificial food coloring. And then, begin to introduce each of these foods into your diet at the rate of one every three days. It should be visible to you which foods trigger your nose to react. Another technique for detecting food allergies may be to take your pulse every morning before eating anything. Total your heartbeat for a full minute. Then consume the food you prefer to check. Wait fifteen to 30 minutes, and then retake your pulse. If your heartbeat has increased by fifteen to twenty beats per minute, chances are that you are sensitive to the food you absorbed.

Most physicians agree that allergies result from a hyper-reactive or aberrant functioning of the immune system, and that they tend to run in families. But there is no mention within the medical community of an emotional component contributing to or triggering allergies, nor is there any explanation for the tremendous increase in the number of allergy sufferers in the past thirty years. My “sandpaper” theory holds that as we breathe polluted and particulate-laden air 23,000 times a day, we are causing chronic irritation (“rubbing the surface raw”) and inflammation of the nasal mucous membrane. This creates a hyper-reactive membrane that, given the right genetic predisposition, emotional stress, and adequate exposure to an allergen, can precipitate a lifetime of allergies.

I actually have no regrets by using this alternative solution to the past 20 years. With this, I am now free from any allergic attacks. Indeed I was completely healed from chronic sinusitis. I am now looking forward with confidence to the late summer season and enjoy the moment.
